Now I feel like a real official member of the blogosphere. I have MADE IT.
Here's how it works:
- Make a post + Link back to the person who awarded you this award!
- Share 7 things about yourself!
- Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers so we can share the love!
- Contact these bloggers and tell them they've won!
Here are the seven short-and-sweet facts that a lot of people don't know about me.
- I have four kids ranging from ages 1-11. I love them to bits.
- I stay up WAY too late at night playing on my iPad.
- At present, I am obsessed with food photos. I have been known to make my kids go hungry because I was photographing their food and couldn't have it messed up just yet. (Don't arrest me...it was only for 5 minutes!!!)
- I have a problem throwing out bananas. We have about 50 banana muffins and two loaves of banana bread in the freezer right now, and literally 15 bags of frozen bananas sitting in the freezer drawer waiting for someone to make a shake or cake out of them.
- I do not use the word 'literally' lightly. I NEVER say it unless I really mean it.
- I am pretty relaxed about most food topics, but I can't stand tea made with teabags. The tea has got to be loose and fresh.
- I am a master of perfect hard-boiled eggs, and I can't stand when eggs have the slightest bit of green or gray in the yolk.
And now, drum-roll please, here are my seven nominees. You guys ROCK!
Yay, so happy you did this! I'm very jealous that you have an iPad, and will really need some instructions on the hard-boiled egg thing!
ReplyDeleteYayyy congrats on the award! I loved reading your post! =) I have a freezer full of bananas and an obsession with food photos as well! =)

Thanks! I'm also tickled pink! I don't know if I can come up with 15, but I've never read the other blogs you posted. I'll have to check them out.
ReplyDeleteMy husband has told me more than once, "more cooking, less pictures." But the shots I get with my little point-and-shoot aren't half as pretty as your images.
I use my electric kettle to boil eggs. I bought a new "kum-kum" yesterday and stuck my hands down in all of them to check for ease of egg entry and exit.
I like a large variety of teas and I don't have space for lots of spices AND lots of loose tea. Maybe you can convert me. I'd be honored to host a guest post on tea.
You should check out my banana ice cream post. http://nonrecipe.blogspot.com/2010/11/guilt-free-banana-ice-cream.html
It's literally easy, and you can see pictures of two people I love to bits.
Congratulations on the award!! And thank you so much for passing it on to me!! I really appreciate all the kind words you have regarding me and my blog!!
ReplyDeleteI can SOOO relate on the photo-taking mention... Once I made dinner guests wait 30 minutes while I took pictures of cookies on the back porch...and it didn't seem weird to me at all!!! (Found ur blog thru AvidAppetite - enjoyed reading about all your positive eating suggestions!)
ReplyDeleteRivki - You're "Send me an e-mail" button doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteI'm serious about the guest post. I thought I might talk about tea and coffee next "sugar slashing Sunday." And the idea of drinking good tea instead of adding sugar to lower quality tea. E-mail me if you'd like to talk about that or something else. yrhuber (at) gmail
